Privacy Policy

Effective August 24, 2026.

This policy explains what Rex Legal collects through this website, why, and what we do and do not do with it. It is written to describe how this site actually works. If something here stops being accurate, we will change it.

The Short Version

We collect what you choose to tell us so that we can respond to you, plus the ordinary technical records any website keeps. We do not sell your information, we do not buy information about you from data brokers, and we do not use this site for advertising. We will never ask you for a payment card, bank account, Social Security, or other government identification number through this website.

Information You Give Us

The contact form on this site asks for your name, your email address, your phone number, and a description of what happened. Name, email, and description are required; the phone number is optional.

You may also reach us by email, telephone, or text message. When you do, we receive whatever you choose to send, including your phone number or email address and the content of your message.

Please send us enough to understand your situation and check for conflicts of interest. You do not need to send your complete file to start a conversation.

Information Collected Automatically

Like any website, this one keeps server records. Those records can include your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visited, and the date and time you visited them. We use them to keep the site running, to diagnose problems, and to protect against abuse.

This site sets a small number of cookies that WordPress and the contact form need in order to work. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

How We Use What We Collect

  • To respond to you and answer your question.
  • To evaluate a potential case and run the conflicts check that our professional obligations require before we can talk with you about representation.
  • To represent you, if we take your case.
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website.
  • To comply with the law and with our obligations as Colorado lawyers.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers, mailing-list vendors, or any other outside source, and we do not append purchased data to what you give us.
  • We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and this site does not display ads.
  • We do not share your information with other law firms, lead generators, or marketing companies.
  • We will never ask you for financial account numbers or government identification numbers through this website.

We share information outside the firm only with the service providers described below, who are permitted to use it only to provide that service to us, and when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

Contacting Us Does Not Create an Attorney-Client Relationship

Sending a message through this website, by email, or by text does not make us your lawyers. An attorney-client relationship begins only when you and Rex Legal have signed a written fee agreement.

We treat what you send us as confidential and we do not disclose it outside the firm except as described in this policy. Even so, information sent before an attorney-client relationship exists may not carry the full protection of the attorney-client privilege. Until we have agreed to represent you, do not send anything you would not want disclosed.

Nothing on this website is legal advice, and no result described anywhere on this site guarantees a similar outcome in any other case. If you are facing a deadline, tell us immediately rather than waiting for a reply.

Text Messages

We invite calls and texts at 303-381-1045. If you text us, we receive your phone number and your message, and we may reply by text. Your mobile carrier may charge message and data rates. If you would prefer we not text you, tell us and we will stop.

Services This Website Uses

This site relies on a small number of outside services. Some of them receive your IP address simply because your browser has to request a file from them. None of them are given the contents of your contact form.

  • Website hosting. Our host stores the site and its server logs, including the records described above.
  • The contact form. Submissions are delivered to the firm and stored with the website so we do not lose your message.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces load from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • Google reviews. The client reviews shown on this site are published Google reviews, displayed through a review widget. Loading them contacts Google and the widget provider.
  • Rating and recognition badges. Some badges, such as Super Lawyers, load from the organization that issued them.

We will update this list when it changes.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information under our control, and this site is served over an encrypted connection. No website or email system is completely secure, and we cannot promise that a transmission over the internet is safe from interception. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to send us before we represent you.

How Long We Keep It

If you contact us and we do not end up working together, we keep your inquiry for as long as we need it to run conflicts checks and maintain our records, and then we delete it.

If we represent you, your file is kept for the period our professional and ethical obligations as Colorado lawyers require, which is considerably longer.

Your Choices

Whether or not any privacy statute requires it of us, you may ask us to do any of the following and we will:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it because we represent you or did, or because the law requires it.
  • Stop contacting you.

Email contact@rex-legal.com or call or text 303-381-1045 and tell us what you want done.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child has been injured, a parent or guardian should contact us.

Other Websites

This site links to other websites, including courts, government agencies, and organizations we support. We do not control those sites and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will say so on this page.
